For my Mama!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!! And my Mama is a 7 year survivor!!! So I did this konadicure just for her!! She has such courage and grace!!
This is one of those mani's I just did for fun. It didn't really match the outfit that I wore on that day. It was more of a statement of pride for my Mom!! Just a little way to say "I honor you!" She and I went shopping the day I had this design on my nails. And she had fun telling the store clerks about the design!!

For this design I used 2 coats of China Glaze's Liquid Leather. And Konad's special polish in Pink. I think the "ribbon" design from m63 (which is what I used in this mani) could be used for any type of awareness themed manicure. Finally I topped it with Seche Vite, and we were out the door to shop, shop, shop!!

Thanks for taking time to look!!

I love you Mom!!

  1. Goodness Gracious girl that is awesome!
How on earth did i never notice that that pattern had "the ribbon" in it!
    very very nice!

  2. im TOTALLY DOING THIS!!!! konadiclone comming soon. Kathleen is working on a Ribbon plate with konad...but untill it comes out, this will do nicely!!!

  3. Beautiful manicure especially the sentiment behind it. God Bless your Mother. I know how tough it is going through everything with a Mother who has cancer. My Mom's been gone a long while but I still remember everything as if it was yesterday. Thank God that treatment is much better than it was for my Mother.

  4. konADDICT...
Girl, you know that you can konadiclone my nails anytime!!! Lord knows, that you are MY inspiration!!

Thanks for the sweet comments about my Mama!! My Mama's mother also died from Cancer, as did my husband's dad. It touches so very many people's lives!! I know that I'm SO LUCKY to still have my Mama!! She's quite a fighter!! Thanks again for Blessing my Mama!! ;)

  5. Love your Konading. Just wondering if you are going to get back into blogging. It would be great.
